ImagePart of our vision in St. Mark's Church on Pearse Street is to be a lighthouse to Dublin city, to reach out and bring people "home.". This is accomplished through engaging with people on various levels and in various walks of life. To "engage" is to involve; it is something that occupies our attention, our efforts - and it attracts.

We are doing this through our weekly Kids' Clubs in the local area. This involves a dedicated team of volunteers. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, we run an After-Schools Club in the church. The After-Schools Club provides the kids with a cooked dinner, one-on-one help with their homework and after-homework activities such as dance or crafts. At the moment, we have 13 kids and a waiting list of many many more. That's 13 families we are engaging with on a practical support level, and thus building relationships between our church family and our local community.

We have just started a Saturday KIDZClub. This will be a programme filled with praise, games, prizes, teaching, Bible stories, crafts and much more. This club will ensure that every week, those kids will hear in some shape or form that God loves them and that we love them.

Our heart is also for these kids to have male and female role models, or mother and father figures who live out "another way" lifestyle. The parents of the kids will receive consistent visits from the church, again to build and strengthen relations between our two communities.

This ministry is just one "lifeboat" actively engaging people where they are with the message and the love of Christ.
