Cinnamon Network invitation to church leaders

Cinnamon Network is inviting church leaders and activists to partnership in building transforming relationships in their communities.

Thye are host meeting of church leaders and activists over coffee and croissants on Wednesday 28th June, 9-11am at The Convention Centre Dublin (Spencer Dock, North Wall Quay, Dublin 1).

The purpose of the gathering is to talk about how Cinnamon Network helps churches to build transforming relationships in their communities. In particular, they intend to share how they support churches to build stronger relationships within towns and cities through our Cinnamon Faith Action Audit. So far they have helped churches in 87 towns and cities to measure the social impact and economic value of what they do in the community. The Times (U.K.) newspaper reported the research with the headline “Loving Thy Neighbour is priceless – but it’s also worth £3 billion”.

As the Church we are great at telling powerful stories of changed lives, however we have also learned the value of telling the Church’s story in numbers. The Cinnamon Faith Action Audit helps present the numerical value of what the church contributes to the community - leading to increased engagement and partnership with local authorities, police and other agencies.

A Cinnamon Faith Action Audit is something we would love to explore assisting the churches of Dublin to do. The initiative is already supported  by the Cinnamon Advisory Council Ireland, which includes Archbishop Michael Jackson (Church of Ireland), Pastor Tunde Oke (Redeemed Christian Church of God), Nick Park (Evangelical Alliance), Sean Mullarkey (Christian Church of Ireland), Gerard Gallagher (Catholic Church), Rev Dr Heather Morris (Methodist Church) and Ruth Garvey-Williams (Vox Magazine).

Church of Ireland Archbishop Michael Jackson has said, "I have been inspired by the creativity and passion of Cinnamon Network for the Gospel and for God’s people. This invitation is one to which all of us should sign up. It ties together the community and the church both of which are dear to the heart of the Risen Christ. I commend it throughly and thank Matt for his generosity."

The Cinnamon NetworkI would really value to opportunity to share more with church leaders and so would love you to join them on Wednesday 28th June, 9-11am at Dublin Convention Centre.
